Job Description

The Legal Representative – Affirmative Immigration Services provides direct legal assistance, case coordination, and client support for immigrants seeking affirmative immigration benefits. This role ensures that all legal services comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as ELF’s case management policies and ethical standards.

The Legal Representative assists clients with Adjustment of Status, Consular Processing, DACA Applications, Naturalization, Citizenship Acquisition & Derivation, Legal Permanent Resident (LPR) Renewals, Advance Parole, Parole-in-Place, U-Visas, VAWA, and other humanitarian relief benefits. Working closely with DOJ-accredited representatives, attorneys, and case workers, this position guides clients through the application process, provides legal information, and ensures accurate documentation and case tracking. The Legal Representative also collaborates with community partners, participates in legal workshops, and helps expand access to immigration legal services.

The Legal Representative – Affirmative Immigration Services plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between clients, legal representatives, and community resources. As the demand for family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, and naturalization services increases, this role ensures that clients receive accurate information, timely support, and guidance through complex legal processes.
By assisting in case preparation, coordinating client services, and supporting legal workshops, this position strengthens ELF’s capacity to provide efficient, client-centered immigration legal services. The Legal Representative enhances communication between clients, attorneys, and case workers, ensuring that immigrant families receive the comprehensive legal assistance they need to secure lawful status and build stable futures in the U.S.
