In partnership with Mission Asset Fund, ELF is in the process of launching the first official lending circle in the region. A lending circle is a form of credit building that does not involve a bank. Each member of the “circle” contributes a certain amount of money, and after a set amount of time, one person collects the entire pool of money as a form of credit. They then pass it along to the next person, and this transaction is reported to the three primary credit reporting bureaus as a form of credit-building for the individual.
